Frequently Asked Questions

Unable to login

If you're having trouble logging in:

  • Check that you're using the correct email address associated with your academy account.
  • Use the Forgot Password option on the login screen to reset your password.
  • If you still cannot log in, contact your academy administrator to verify your account status.
  • Clear the app cache or try reinstalling the app from the Play Store.

Still stuck? Email support with your academy name and registered email.

Attendance issues

Attendance tracking is designed to be seamless. If you're experiencing issues:

  • Ensure your device has a stable internet connection before marking attendance.
  • GPS or location services must be enabled for check-in functionality.
  • If attendance markers are not appearing, try refreshing the session page.
  • Coaches can manually mark attendance as a fallback.
Face recognition not working

Face recognition helps streamline attendance and session tracking. If it's not working:

  • Make sure you've granted the Camera permission to the Better app in your device settings.
  • Ensure adequate lighting — avoid direct backlight or dark environments.
  • Position your face directly in the frame, at arm's length from the device.
  • If you're newly enrolled, it may take a few minutes for your face data to sync.
  • Contact support if the issue persists after trying the above.
Password reset

To reset your password:

  1. Open the Better app and tap Forgot Password on the login screen.
  2. Enter your registered email address and tap Send.
  3. Check your inbox (and spam folder) for a password reset link.
  4. Follow the link to create a new password.

If you don't receive the reset email within 5 minutes, contact your academy administrator or email support.

Push notifications

Push notifications keep you updated on sessions, attendance, and announcements. If you're not receiving them:

  • Check that notifications are enabled for Better in your device Settings.
  • Ensure your device is not in Do Not Disturb or Silent mode.
  • Verify that you have a stable internet connection.
  • Inside the app, go to Settings → Notifications and confirm your preferences are correct.
  • If notifications still don't arrive, try restarting the app or your device.
